The Central
Texas Rifle and Pistol Club was first chartered in 1948 as a non-profit organization to promote shooting sports in the Central
Texas area. Our Club provides educational as well as a number of recreational and competitive rifle and pistol shooting
sport opportunities. For shooting program descriptions and scheduled matches go to the Programs link.
The
Club’s outdoor gun range complex for rifle and pistol shooting is located on a 42-acre site in the China Spring area which is a few
miles northwest of Waco, Texas. Click on the Map link for detailed driving directions to the range.
The Club is a membership
only organization but rifle and pistol matches sponsored by the Club are open to the public. Attending some of these various
scheduled matches are a great way to learn more about our Club. The Calendar shows the Club's upcoming scheduled events

News and Happenings
Single Action Pistol Schedule Change
Due to the Texas heat, the Single Action Pistol competition
shoots are on hold until October. The scheduled Saturday matches have been changed to 7:00am practice sessions that are informal
with no costumes required - come comfortable and cool. The Saturday dates are: July 24th, August 28th and September 25th.
The scheduled Sunday August 29th match has been scratched and will not be rescheduled.
Membership Reminder
CTRP has made
membership changes this year and members are encouraged to renew on time to avoid an additional fee or losing membership.
Memberships
that lapse for three months: Will be required to pay a $25 set up fee along with current dues to be reinstated.
Memberships
that lapse for six months: Will lose their spot in the club's roster and will need to contact an Orientation officer
to be put on the waiting list, go through Orientation and pay current dues plus $25 set up fee.
New Program Match
CTRP has
a new rifle match program called Hunting Rifle. Matches use a scoped hunting rifle and sometimes have a .22 or rimfire
match combined with it.
Note from the Prez Tim Cole...."I shot this match and these guys make it a lot of fun. This is
for all ages, especially junior shooters. Match fee is only $5 and is free to anyone under 18 years old. Also, the club
has scoped, bolt action .22s and .223s for match use if you don't have your own. So there is no excuse not to come out
and try this - hope to see you there!" Check the schedule for match times.
